I must admit, I got this swirls almost randomly, but I know what I was doing, so it wasn't tough to recreate it.
As I said in my latest post, seeing others' doing this techinque (or similar) , I remembered I had told myself I need to repeat this design. That's how I decided on Femina 2 design.
Looking forward to seeing yours!
A i to me posebno raduje!
Ксенијаhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12319501487362273456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660793936618908885.post-71568445548764014112013-12-03T21:53:45.080+01:002013-12-03T21:53:45.080+01:00Stunning, Maja! I thought at first that you must have used a divider, too, to get such perfect halves, but I see in the comments that you did two faux funnel pours on each end of the mold. What a great idea - the effect is so gorgeous! The little shaped soaps are beautiful, too.LatherBeSoapinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18018716091511424218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660793936618908885.post-11210604632683819202013-12-03T18:45:37.640+01:002013-12-03T18:45:37.640+01:00Wow, Maja! But please, save your words, I made a soap the other night and was wondering:' God, have I ever made the most beautiful soap?', and the hubby was like:' This is the most wonderful soap I have ever seen!' (he's seen many, and of course, all mine)!
Generally, I use oxides, ultramarines, micas. I got my pigments from Germany and Austria. Please, e-mail me, if you need more detailed info.Diva Prirodna Kozmetikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01713766013775796957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660793936618908885.post-5329227416463522722013-12-02T12:53:45.313+01:002013-12-02T12:53:45.313+01:00Thanks, Silvia! No, I didn't use a divider. I ...Thanks, Silvia! No, I didn't use a divider. I poured the batter in a faux-funnel manner, in 4 different spots (two on the one end and two one the another end of the mould). Honestly, I didn't believe it was going to be that perfectly divided in half.
Blue is peacock blue pigment, the same one I used in 'Beloved' (http://divasoap.blogspot.com/2013/11/beloved.html) and the 'Moonstone' (http://divasoap.blogspot.com/2013/10/moonstone.html), but in this particular case, it got darker. I mentioned in the post that I think lanolin had made the colours darker.
Lanolin smells somewhat 'animal', but you don't smell it, not even in the batter. I added cocoa butter, as well and I really couldn't detect lanolin itself. Needless to say that there is no hint of it in the finished, scented soap.Diva Prirodna Kozmetikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01713766013775796957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660793936618908885.post-51407341589198595002013-12-02T09:25:09.937+01:002013-12-02T09:25:09.937+01:00Wow Maja, another awesome soap! I have also been curious about lanolin but I think it might smell too "sheepy"? SoapJamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13643087391861279707noreply@blogger.com
