'Scarlet Dew'

....and it's not even red!  Regardless of being green, the first colour my eye catches is red. Hence the name!

wet soap

'Scarlet Dew' was another part of the same batch as 'Savanna', so I won't be long this time.
I just want to point out that wet soap on the picture above is really this one you see cut. Thing is that this red pigment, turns to brown in alkali environment. Then, as pH level goes down, the red comes back again. It's true red, bloody red, scarlet beautiful red. What I hate about this pigment is that I cannot estimate its quantity for desirable red effect. I often seem to overuse it, but luckily I don't use it that often.

The scent- a lot of greenery! Fragrance called Tomato leaf is actually a blend of all greens.
The official description is : An unexpectedly fabulous aroma of fresh dark-leaf greenery, rich dewy soil and a hint of sweet red sunripened tomatoes. But, it really has to do nothing with tomatoes.
It's  fresh, herby, airy,...lovely.  The scent makes you think of nature waking up and blossoming after long winter.
I think I'll save the rest of it for that season. By then, I can think of spring in the shower...

Sun rays bathing my soap!

I wish you peaceful and successful week!

    1. Hi,hi, when poetic inspiration hits me, it goes easy like water. First, it was just 'Scarlet', but then I added 'Dew' as a scent description!

  2. What lovely swirls and colors. I noticed right away that the red is really red. I agree with Silvia, you have wonderful names for your soaps. This time I was just thinking about mountain dew when I saw the green color and the name :D But your soaps are way better than some lemonade!

  6. Divno izgleda!

  7. Beautiful soap, Maja! The colors are so vivid, and the swirls are gorgeous. I've used a Tomato Leaf FO before and really liked it. It was very green, with a bit of light earthiness. Just like the base of a snapped tomato leaf.

    1. Do you know that when I saw this fragrance name,my first thought was you! It reminded me of your 'bacon' fragrance and your adventurous curiosity for fragrances.
I knew I was going to like it,when I read its description and it's really good and very stable (so far)!
