"Honey Soldier"

'Honey Soldier' is a masculine name for a mild soap. It contains a lots of castor oil (double than suggested) and cocoa butter, SF=7% and honey and yogurt, as additives. I found that 100%  water replacement with yogurt  makes soap maybe too creamy for me (too creamy=less bubbly), but it gives really nice touch to the soap, when added at smaller amounts. I simply added honey and yogurt in my oils, before pouring L/W solution. Lately, that's how I've been adding my additives. I have enough time to incorporate them into the oils completely, which is not always the case, when adding later, at trace.
The colours are pigments and I mixed blue ang green pigments, then wasn't happy with the result, so continued adding little bit of yellow, then some more of green.. ..   And that's how I got the colour I would have never gotten if I had wanted it. I was going for another colour, but that doesn't matter any longer. The weird thing about these (military) colours is that they have blended all together, because the first and the last layer should have been ITP swirled. The swirl is barely visible here. Even white disappeared!? At least, they look kinda natural and the soap smells like green apple, so the green is evidently here. The embeds are with coconut flour (or rather, flakes) and also contain honey.
After all, I expect it to be nice, mild, moisturizing and conditioning bar and I'm so anxious to try it.

Have you got tired of my every-day posting? Oh, I'm so behind in posting, I can't catch up with soaps I have made.

    1. Thanks Cee! I got to like it,especially for its reachness of ingredients. Soaps for dry skin are definitely the most popular,so lately I tend to make much more of these.

  2. Beautiful soap Maja! I love the swirl on top. I am loving your green colors...almost like marble. It's beautiful. With the high amount of castor oils did you have to wait a little longer to unmold? The last time I went over my recommended castor amounts my soap turned out pretty soft :(

    1. It maybe takes longer to unmould it,but later it gets hard as any other soap. I think it's just a myth about castor oil,and if you look at lay calc.,castile will give a soft bar, which we all know it becomes rock hard after a proper cure period.
      Thanks Roxana for being here!

    1. I've used both, but not together. We'll see how this combo will affect the soap. It sounds ok to me,hopefully it gives mildness and moisturizing I was going for.

    2. You just made me recall that many years ago I had used castor oil for cleaning face and removing make up! I used to get it from pharmacy in a bottle of 30ml,and now, when I have plenty of it, I've forgotten to use it!? Funny!
I use it as well,as a regular ingredient in all my recipes, but this soap is really rich with castor. Have some more 'rich' soaps waiting to be featured! So, you better haven't fed up with reading my blog (lol)! Thanks dear, for commenting!
