'Femina' (II) and 'Irish Tweed'

Hallo everyone,
Since my comments are mostly in English, I decided to dedicate a few posts to my English readers, who are the most active on this blog. I know many others who visit this place, know English good enough to be able to understand the text, so I guess everyone will feel fine.

As I promised in my latest post, I still have soaps that are just finishing their curing period, so it's the best time to show them now, before they're sold out.
My fragrances choice is based on my personal preferences in 90% of cases. That might be bad for selling, but if I can't stand the scent. I don't feel like soaping it. As simple as that.
This one I've just loved from the first sniff out of a bottle. I felt almost sorry when the first Femina soap was finished.
So, I knew I would be making another batch, not only because it's very popular and feminine scent of white tea, but because of myself, too. But even before I started to think about its new design, I received an order right for Femina. Since that Serbian girl keeps ordering my soaps faithfully and she always orders a dozen at a time, I was happy to meet her request and make new Femina soap.
So, here it is, new Femina soap:

new Femina soap

Ever since I made this soap (click) , which I called 'Impulsive' , I wanted to recreate its design. Later, I saw other soapmakers' doing the similar/same technique and I finally decided I should repeat it.
Albeit the soap is beautiful to me, I wish the batter had been more fluid. No worries, I think there will be more soaps like this one.

clay, silk, goat's milk- gentle additives for feminine scent

I kept the ingredients from the last one, except this one is even better.
Beside white and pink kaolin clay (both great detoxifying agents for sensitive and dry skin), cocoa butter, goat's milk, oatmeal and silk,  this batch is enriched with avocado oil. I also added lard, because I love how it makes soap smooth, firm and kinda silky. Yet, I don't use it much.

always mica stamped

The colours are pink kaolin and white kaolin clays, ultramarine pink, light brown is also clay and cocoa powder for the brown part.

Like the first batch, this one also contains finely ground oatmeal, sparingly added for only light exfoliation.

'Irish Tweed'

There is no probably anyone who hasn't heard for Green Irish Tweed, men perfume by Creed.
I had discovered it when I got a soap scented in it from Ksenija. I love swapping soaps with other soapmakers, because I always discover some new fragrance I go crazy about.  Ksenija said it was manly fragrance, but I didn't accept it.  For me, it was very unisex and gorgeous. Well yes, you could say it's man type of scent, but one of those women will keep borrowing stealthily.
So, when I realized one of my suppliers carry it, I wasn't had any second thought- I had to order some.
And you know what- it's really divine! Strong, fresh, powerful, sporty type, but with a fine, elegant notes.

No mica stamp here! Would men mind it,hehe?

Because men also need conditioning and caring shower, this little fella will give them what they need. Almond oil and cocoa butter at generous percentage will ensure they have great bubbles along with nice after feel. I'm telling you, I' ve already tested it.

50 shades of green

The funniest thing about the scent I've been bragging about is that 2 pieces are already reserved by WOMEN! Isn't it fun?
I'm telling you, women are not shy to use men's accessories.

  2. Thanks Doreen! I highly appreciate your presence here, new faces are always very welcome to visit.
I also like how it turned out, but what I didn't say in the post, there are 2 whites in this soap- one is with kaolin, the other one without. Kaolin didn't make the difference here and both portions look the same.

  3. First, thanks for making this post in English. I admire those of you who speak several languages and can translate English so fluidly; those of us who're basically native English speakers are much lazier (I only speak for myself) to learn another language.

Femina has some lovely scallop designs to it, it really adds to the name, being all curvy like that.

I must be living under a rock because I've never heard of Green Irish Tweed before. I do love scents that are supposed to be more masculine, Brambleberry's Beau Brummel is one of my favourites. Your Diva stamp flows really nicely with the design in the soap too.

    1. As I mentioned, my first acknowledgement of this Green Irish Tweed perfume was when I got a soap. But, lately I found out that almost everyone knows it and many soapmakers use the scent. OK, it's kinda comforting that I'm not the only one who discovered it only recently, lol.
Thanks Monica for your time and for beeing always so sweet!

  4. Wow, Femina looks so lovely! I've never sniffed Creed, but it sounds so nice - I must admit I am partial to masculine fragrances too! I love your interpretation of it :)

    1. Hi Cee, glad you like them. Masculine scents usually have that pungent under notes, feminine don't and I think we love exactly that. Also, the freshness is always a big extra, especially in summer.
Thanks dear, hope you have great time with whatever you're occupied with!

  5. Both soaps are gorgeous, Maja! I especially like the Femina - that's such a neat effect. And I like all of the different greens in the Irish Tweed.

    1. Thanks Jenny. Femina turned out really feminine, and greens could have been brighter, I'd say I carried away with the pigment. Next time!

    1. Hvala ti, Goco. Malo sam se izveštila sa pečatom, sad uglavnom dobro pritisnem. Dizajn se i meni svidja, radiću ga opet sigurno, kao i još par nekih koje imam u planu.
